I can provide consulting services to non-governmental organizations and policymakers on issued related to transnational repression, technology, and international human rights law. I can also provide services on assessing and managing legal and ethical risks that arise in different research contexts.

I have experience drafting different kinds of research briefs. For example, in June 2025, I co-produced a study for the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) titled “Transnational Repression of Human Rights Defenders: The Impacts on Civic Space and the Responsibility of Host States.”

I also have experience working with academic organizations and have extensive experience implementing interview-based research projects and managing research ethics and privacy issues. For example, in December 2024, I concluded a second significant report on digital transnational repression with colleagues at the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab.

I can offer training on the risks raised by transnational repression (both digital and otherwise) and have briefed different types of groups from refugee resettlement organizations to academic institutions. I frequently give guest lectures and present at academic and non-academic conferences on issues in my research area.

While I work primarily in English, I also speak French.
